Haryana Ambedkar Scholarship: A new scheme has been started by the Haryana government for meritorious students. The scheme we are talking about is called Haryana Ambedkar Scholarship Scheme. Another name of Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship, Haryana scheme is also Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chhatra Samvidhni Yojana. It is a merit-based scholarship run by the Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes Welfare Department of the Haryana Government.

Government started scheme for meritorious students
Under this scheme, the selected candidates are provided financial assistance for the entire duration of their course. Under Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chhatra Samvidhi Yojana, meritorious and needy students of SC / BC category of Haryana state get financial assistance up to Rs 12,000 every year. Under this scheme, it is mandatory for a student passing class 10th to get 70 percent marks in urban areas and 60 percent marks in rural areas.
Similarly, it is mandatory for students passing class 12th to get 75 percent marks in urban areas and 70 percent marks in rural areas. At the same time, in the graduation examination, 65 percent marks have to be scored in urban areas and 60 percent marks in rural areas.
Haryana Ambedkar Scholarship is given financial assistance in this way
Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided in the following manner:
- Class 11/Diploma/Certificate Courses (First Year) – INR 8,000
- First Year of Undergraduate which includes Arts/Commerce/Science disciplines/All Diplomas/Certificates (First Year) – INR 8,000
- Engineering and other technical or professional courses – INR 9,000
- Medical and allied courses – INR 10,000
- First Year of Postgraduate which includes Arts/Commerce/Science disciplines – INR 9,000
- Engineering and other technical or professional courses – INR 11,000
- Medical and allied courses – INR 12,000
Eligibility required to avail the scheme
- The applicant should be a native of Haryana.
- The candidate should belong to SC/BC/Vimukt Jati/DNT/Tapriwas.
- The annual income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs 4 lakh.
- The applicant should not be availing the benefit of any merit based scheme.
- He can avail the benefit of any other scholarship.
- The candidate should be studying regularly from class 11 to post graduation.

- Attested copy of caste certificate
- Attested copy of Aadhar card
- Attested copy of mark sheet of passed class on the basis of which the student can apply for scholarship
- Attested copy of bank account
- Photocopy of applicant’s identity card
- Attested photocopy of income certificate
How to apply for the scheme
- To apply for Haryana Ambedkar Scholarship Scheme, first of all applicants have to visit the official website.
- After coming to the official website, you have to click on ‘Register’.
- After this you have to complete the registration process.
- After the registration process is completed, you have to log in using the registered ID and password to proceed further.
- After logging in, you have to enter all the required information.
- After this you have to upload all the relevant documents.
- Now you have to check your application form carefully, if there is any mistake in it, then it has to be corrected immediately.
- Finally, you have to submit your application form for which you have to click on the submit button.
