The scheme was started in 2016
Under this scheme, the government gives unemployment allowance to the youth. This allowance is given to 12th pass graduates and post graduates. This scheme was started by the government in the year 2016. The objective of this scheme is to develop more employment opportunities for the young generation and provide them employment in various departments of the state government. The government wants that no qualified youth should remain unemployed, for this they are given employment in any department. This scheme allows the applicant to choose the skill and enables them to get employment.
Unemployment allowance is given in this way
Under this scheme, 12th pass candidates get unemployment allowance of ₹ 1200 per month. Graduate candidates get unemployment allowance of ₹ 2000 per month, postgraduate candidates get unemployment allowance of ₹ 3500 per month. Earlier, 12th pass candidates were given a monthly allowance of ₹900 per month, graduate candidates ₹1500 per month and PG candidates ₹3000 per month, but now the monthly allowance has been increased by the government. Under this scheme of the government, 2 lakh 61 thousand youth will get benefit. According to the government announcement, the new unemployment allowance under the scheme has been implemented from the month of August.
Ambitious initiative for the youth
Under this scheme, ₹6000 per month salary is given in lieu of maximum 100 hours of work in a month under various departments / boards / corporations / committees etc. registered in the Haryana government and private companies / enterprises. Employment is also provided along with unemployment allowance. This scheme is an ambitious initiative for the youth.
Eligibility Criteria for Saksham Scheme
- The applicant should be a native of Haryana state.
- The applicant should be a 12th graduate and post graduate from any recognized institute.
- The applicant should be registered in the live register (any) of the state employment exchange for a minimum period of three years. This period should be completed on 1st November of the year.
- Your minimum age limit for the scheme should be 21 years and maximum age limit should be 35 years.
- The applicant should not be dismissed from any government service otherwise he will not be able to get the benefit of this scheme.
- The annual income of the applicant’s family including all sources should not be more than 3 lakhs.

- To register for Saksham Yojna, first you have to login.
- Here you have to click on “Free Job Seekers Registration”.
- Read all the instructions carefully and click on “Continue Registration”.
- Now you will see a 5-page form on the redirected page.
- You have to fill this form properly and click on ‘Save/Next’.
- Now, you will be registered under the scheme.
- Within 15 days of online registration, the required documents have to be submitted along with a copy of the provisional I-card to the concerned/local employment exchange.
- After this, go to the official website for Saksham Yuva Yojana and log in.
- Now, another form will open which has to be filled and submitted.
